Being a therapist is not just a job for me. I DO believe in change, and I enjoy helping people explore and recognize the strength and abilities they already have within themselves. My job is to help people improve their quality of life and foster fulfilling relationships.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing for over 13 years. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, community mental health agencies, non-profit family service agencies, outpatient clinics and private practice.
I have worked with clients presenting a wide range of life challenges and transitions. I draw from a variety of family therapy models in order to fit the needs of each individual, family or couple I have worked with. Some of the models of therapy I draw from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method Level I, Strength Based, and Solution Focused Therapy.
I take an integrative, holistic, and relational approach to help clients feel comfortable and supported through the therapy process. I strongly believe in the power of self-care. I often work with my clients to discover ways in which they can better care for both their mind and body, in order to make changes and meet their goals.
